What's up with the Co-'s?

We have two people fill each position on the board, each signing up for two years of service. Ideally, the two periods are shifted, so we always have one experienced person and one learning. For all these positions - no previous experience needed! What's important is having passion for our kids and their experience at school and a desire to make it great!

Joyful Cheerleader

Do you feel like you can positively motivate and help others? Come on we do it with our kids every day. You know you could! We have a need for a Joyful Cheerleader on our PTSA Board. This job requires an average of 10 hours a month, when working with a partner president currently serving on the board. Most commitments can be made from home.  There is one monthly board meeting (2 hours in the AM) that’s required. After that it’s up the presidents to find balance between each other in cheering on and support the PTSA and the school. It’s a fun way to meet new people and be involved. What are you waiting for? Currency Magician

Do you want to help raise money for Emily Dickinson/Explorer? As the Co-Vice President of Fundraising, you will help plan and coordinate the spaghetti feed, year-end carnival, Box Tops, business partnership, and Pass the Hat. This year we are also holding our Auction, the key fundraiser for our PTSA. Co-VP of Communications

Part of the Communications area is Community Outreach. We are looking for a community-minded person to help drive events and initiatives that bring us together as a community. Our Outreach programs includes fun events like Movie Nights, and enriching events like International Night (held every other year). Co-Programs Coordinator, aka Organizer of Fun Stuff

We are looking for someone to assist our current Programs Coordinator in organizing fun after school activities. The role primarily entails securing and scheduling providers of after school activities, and offering registration to school families. Time requirement is throughout the school year and is divided up with our current Programs Coordinator, no more than 15 hours a month, including one monthly board meeting requirement.
