Choir at Dickinson/Explorer 

Register now for choir with our beloved Mr. K!  Choir is a before-school enrichment program with an evening performance later in the school year. 

Registration & Commitments

Registration Dates:    Opens Sun, Nov 26 @ 2:45pm

                                   Closes Thurs, Feb 8 @ 11:59pm

Eligibility:  Grades K-2 and 3-5

Time Commitment:  

• Primary Choir (grades K-2) meets Tuesdays starting January 23, 2024.
• Intermediate Choir (grades 3-5) meets Wednesdays starting January 24, 2024. 
• Choir begins at 8:15am, and ends at 9:00am (Explorer) and 9:15am (Dickinson).
• Students should arrive for choir between 8-8:15am, or after elementary band and orchestra. 

Parent Commitment:  Parent support is vital to the success of choir.  Since choir is a PTSA-sponsored program, per our insurance and chaperone policies, your commitment as a parent includes the following:

• Be a PTSA member.  Verify purchase of a PTSA Membership here first; otherwise please purchase a 2023-24 PTSA Membership before registering for choir (24 hours needed for membership authorization).  

• Typically, parents must chaperone at least one class.  However, a benevolent Dickinson/Explorer parent alumna is willing to chaperone all sessions of Primary and Intermediate Choir.
• Pay the participant fee by scrolling to the very bottom of this page.
• Email the following information to Mr. K at jkelleher@lwsd.org:
  • student's name
  • student's grade & teacher
  • parents' names
  • parents' email addresses

Fee:  $75 

Scholarships:  Available to those in need.  For more information, please contact Mr. K

Cancellations:  For a refund, all cancellations must be requested by Mon, Jan 22.  Please email Mr. K and Cc the PTSA Treasurer with your cancellation request.  No refunds given after choir has begun!
